Carmel Board Approves $47,000 in Park Improvements as Audit Confirms Strong Finances

NY CARMEL — Carmel Town Board approves $47,000 in park improvements and capital equipment purchases. Deputy Supervisor Frank Lombardi led the board, which unanimously approved two tree removal contracts totaling $16,930 and a 2016 Dodge Ram truck purchase for $14,995, funded through restricted sales tax transfers. The board also unanimously approved an intermunicipal agreement with the Town of Southeast for surplus vehicles and equipment not to exceed $15,000.
In other actions, the board promoted Amanda Clerici to Senior Real Property Appraiser and approved extended leave through September 25 for a highway worker injured in September 2025; the 2025 audit report presented to the board confirms an Aa1 bond rating and General Fund balance of $11.18 million.
