Carmel board approves lake vegetation permit and tree-cutting waiver

NY CARMEL — Carmel environmental board unanimously approves vegetation permit and tree-cutting waiver. The Environmental Conservation Board approved Permit 1018 for Lake Ossi Sports Club at 35 Ossi Lane, requiring Town Wetland Inspector pre- and post-site inspections during erosion control installation, with Alejandra Reyes of GEI Consultants representing the applicant. The board also unanimously granted a tree-cutting waiver to Michael and Thomas Gilmore for their 153 Shindagen Hill Road property, allowing removal of 38 trees ranging from 8 to 16 inches in diameter before the April 1 state cutting ban, conditioned on submission of a sequence of work by Monday and wetland inspector pre- and post-inspection of silt fence.
