Carmel greenlights dock replacement at Sycamore Road

Environmental Conservation Board · Meeting of May 7, 2026

NY CARMEL — Carmel's Environmental Conservation Board unanimously approves dock replacement for Mahopac homeowners. The board granted a letter of maintenance to Jonah Maddock and Alison Boak to replace an unsafe dock at 45 Sycamore Road with a 24-by-8-foot structure using new galvanized steel posts and pressure-treated decking. Wetland Inspector Richard Franzetti must inspect the turbidity curtain before construction begins, and applicants must provide a sequence of work to Board Secretary Rose Trombetta.
