Carmel Residential subdivision resolution approved; Savor Restaurant plan deferred for revision.
Planning Board · Meeting of March 25, 2026
NY CARMEL — Carmel Planning Board approves Carmel Residential preliminary subdivision but defers Savor Restaurant site plan. The board voted unanimously on Resolution #26-11 for Carmel Residential involving Tax Map 55.14-1-35 and related parcels, on motion by Raymond Cote and seconded by John Nuculovic. Building Inspector Supervisor Michael Carnazza, Town Engineer Richard Franzetti, and Town Planner Patrick Cleary submitted preliminary comments on Savor Restaurant's amended site plan for 18 Clark Place, citing zoning, parking compliance, and architectural consistency issues.
The applicant was directed to revise and resubmit, with the Italian restaurant project proposing removal of a mezzanine level to create expanded first-floor dining for approximately 90 seats.
