Carmel Town Board approves equipment purchases, infrastructure payments in sparse April meeting

NY CARMEL — Carmel Town Board unanimously approved $87,200 purchase of a Caterpillar compact truck loader for Highway Superintendent Michael Stern's department and authorized $19,997.02 payment to East of Hudson Watershed Corporation for stormwater retrofit maintenance supporting town phosphorus reduction goals. Supervisor Michael Cazzari, Councilman Schanil, and Councilman Lombardi present voted to defer two $250,000 bond resolutions for road resurfacing and a wheel loader purchase without discussion.
