Environmental board approves fuel tank project, residential addition at lakeside properties

NY CARMEL — Carmel Environmental Board approves marina fuel tank with strict shoreline safeguards. The board unanimously granted Mahopac Marina a permit to install a 1,000-gallon above-ground gasoline storage tank at 897 South Lake Boulevard with conditions requiring double-walled piping and sump protection under Chairman Robert Laga's direction. The board also approved a 250-square-foot residential addition at 33 Lakeside Road pending raingarden design for stormwater management, and extended a wetland permit for a home renovation at 124 West Lake Boulevard through June 2027.

Board member William Fiorilli departed after one year of service.
