Planning Board declares lead agency for Silver Spoon restaurant

NY CARMEL — Planning Board convenes for preliminary review of restaurant and residential applications. Christopher Surace presented plans for Silver Spoon, a two-story gelatoria café and full-service restaurant at 870 Route 6 featuring 96 seats and 32 parking spaces; the board unanimously declared itself lead agency. Joe Mangi described modifications to Bonasera's Restaurant at 18 Clark Place, including removal of the brick oven and relocation of mezzanine seating to accommodate approximately 90 patrons serving Italian and American cuisine.

The board also heard a sketch plan for a 10-unit townhouse development at 161 East Lake Boulevard that will require a density variance.
